## What tweaks.cc is

tweaks.cc is an independent, AI-powered search engine for design assets
published across two ecosystems: the **Figma Community** and the **Framer
Marketplace**.

Native marketplace search matches asset *names and tags* literally. tweaks.cc
instead matches the *meaning* of a query, so you can describe a problem
("a free alternative to Figmotion", "a tool that generates icons from SVG")
rather than guessing the exact keyword an asset's author chose.

It is **not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Figma or Framer**, and
it does not run inside either app. It is a standalone discovery tool.

## What it searches

A single index spanning both ecosystems and three asset types:

- **Figma plugins** — 1,000+ plugins from the Figma Community, free and paid
  (including FigJam and Dev Mode plugins).
- **Framer plugins** — Framer Marketplace plugins that add *functionality*:
  CMS sync, SEO, analytics, animations, integrations.
- **Framer components** — Framer Marketplace *UI pieces and templates*: hero
  sections, pricing tables, carousels, forms, navigation, and more.

"Design asset" covers anything searchable on those marketplaces: plugins,
components, templates, UI kits, and remix-ready files. The index is refreshed
regularly so new and updated assets appear quickly.

## How it works

Type a natural-language query and tweaks.cc returns a ranked shortlist instead
of an unranked grid. There is no infinite scroll — the top of the list is meant
to be the answer, not a starting point. You can filter by platform
(Figma / Framer) and asset type, or let the AI decide.

### Three search modes

**Fast mode** — Hybrid retrieval that combines vector embeddings with full-text
search, fused via reciprocal rank fusion. Returns up to five ranked results; the
ranking step completes with p95 latency under 200 ms (sub-second end to end).

**Smart mode** — Opt-in and slower (~2–4 seconds). An LLM reranks the top ~20
candidates and returns up to five picks, each with a one-line reason it fits,
plus a short summary of what the result set covers as a whole.

**Workflow mode** — For multi-step tasks rather than a single asset. Describe a
whole scenario — e.g. "build and launch a marketing site in Framer" or "clean
up a Figma file and hand it off to developers" — and an LLM breaks it into
ordered steps, runs a search for each step, and returns up to three assets per
step, each with a rationale, plus an overall summary. Takes ~8–15 seconds.

Fast and Smart return at most five results; Workflow returns up to three assets
per step.

## Why it's different from native search

- **Intent over keywords** — describe the problem; the right asset surfaces
  even when your words aren't in its title or tags.
- **One search, both ecosystems** — Figma and Framer assets in a single query.
- **Curated, not exhaustive** — five ranked picks with reasons, not an unranked
  grid of hundreds.
